Asia Argento and Ashton Whitty

Ashton Blaise Whitty was born on the 1st of October, 1995, in Berkeley, California, USA. She is an actress famous by her roles in Choices (2010), The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2006) as well as Chrissie Mayr's Content House

Asia Argento grew up in Rome Italy. Her family is comprised of actors, as is she, herself working in both fields. She made her debut when she was just nine years old in the film of Sergio Citti, Sogni e bisogni (1985). The role she played was the main one in Cristina Comencini's Zoo (1988) and also appeared in Michele Soavi's 1989 feature film The Church. Red Wood Pigeon, directed also by Moretti in 1989, featured her character in the role of Nanni Moretti's young daughter. Close Friends, written and directed Michele Placido in 1992, was the point where Asia's acting career started off. After playing the role of young girl roles, she went on to play more complex and mature characters. Cannes International Film Festival was a great achievement for the film. Trauma was her first film made with her father. Her mother Daria Nicoledi, is Argento's favorite actor. In Trauma she played an orexic looking for the killer of her parents. The Phantom of the Opera is her third movie together with her father, the first two films being Trauma and The Stendhal Syndrome. Asia's dedication and passion for acting has also been used by Giuseppe Piccioni in Condannato a Nozze. Patrice Chereau directed Queen Margot and she was also in a key role. She also appeared alongside Michel Piccoli as Traveling Companion in the film Peter Del Monte. This performance earned her the David di Donatello award (for the best actor) and an award from Grolla of Oro. In 1994, Asia turned her hand to directing and turned out two short films: Prospettive in 1996, she produced a documentary about her father and, in 1998, a film about legendary director Abel Ferrara, Abel/Asia (1998) that received an award from the Rome Film Festival. Asia began her directorial debut as a feature film in 1999. It was Scarlet Diva (2000). She was also the main performer, as well as the creator for the screenplay. The film was made available globally in the month of May. It received a prestigious prize by the Williamsburg Festival of Film in Brooklyn. In 2001, after directing a number of music videos the actress gave birth to the first of her daughters, Anna Lou. She was a part of Jean-Marc Barr's performance as Jean-Marc Barr in The Red Siren, directed by Olivier Megaton. In 2003 she starred alongside Vin Diesel and Rob Cohen's action-thriller. Asia can also be the author of several short stories published in many famous magazines.
